Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) Policy — HirePanther Blog
Last updated: August 9, 2025
HirePanther (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects intellectual property rights and expects our community to do the same. This page explains how to submit a DMCA takedown notice under 17 U.S.C. §512 for content hosted on the HirePanther Blog (articles, images, and any user-generated content in blog comments or community areas).
Not legal advice. The information below is provided for convenience only. Consider consulting a lawyer if you have questions.
1) Designated DMCA Agent
Send DMCA notices and counter-notices to:
HirePanther DMCA Agent
Email: legal@hirepanther.com
Subject line: DMCA Notice or DMCA Counter-Notice
We accept notices by email. Physical mail is slower and may delay processing.
2) What qualifies for a DMCA notice?
Use this process to report copyright-infringing content hosted on the HirePanther Blog that you own or are authorized to act for (e.g., your article, photo, video, illustration). If the content is hosted elsewhere (e.g., embedded from a third‑party site), contact the original host directly.
3) How to submit a valid DMCA takedown notice
To comply with 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3), your notice must include:
- Your signature — physical or electronic.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed (a list if multiple works).
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material on the HirePanther Blog and its URL(s) so we can locate it.
- Your contact information — full name, organization (if applicable), mailing address, phone, and email.
- Good‑faith statement that you believe the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Perjury statement that the information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.

- We will acknowledge receipt (usually by email).

5) Counter-notice (if you believe the removal is a mistake)

After we receive a valid counter‑notice
- We will forward it to the original complainant.
- Unless the complainant notifies us within 10–14 business days that they have filed a court action to restrain the allegedly infringing activity, we may restore the material.
6) Repeat‑infringer policy
In appropriate circumstances, and at our discretion, HirePanther may terminate or suspend accounts or commenting privileges of users determined to be repeat infringers. We may also remove content and disable features to protect rights holders.
7) Misuse and false claims
Submitting fraudulent or bad‑faith notices/counter‑notices can lead to legal liability and account consequences. Only submit a DMCA notice if you own the copyright or are authorized to act for the owner.
8) Canada “Notice‑and‑Notice” (informational)
Because HirePanther operates in Canada, we may also process copyright reports under Canada’s Notice‑and‑Notice regime. The DMCA process above remains the primary procedure for requests concerning the HirePanther Blog; however, we may forward notices consistent with Canadian law where applicable.
